Second thing (and I know this is some weird crossover, but): I just finished the epic eight-month hand-sewing journey and thought I'd share. It's done!
First thing: I just joined Instagram as potpiesforever. Come find me! Second thing (and I know this is some weird crossover, but): I just finished the epic eight-month hand-sewing journey and thought I'd share. It's done! (Well, not quite. Still have to fix the hem. But once THAT'S done, on to the next thing!)

Feel that site-launchin' high! Woohoo! My friend, fellow PEM docent, closet crasher, and all-around fabulous style person Lisa Ann Schraffa Santin launched her site today. We made it in Weebly!
We decided to go for a clean, modern look to match her clean, modern approach to wardrobe building. We're still making some tweaks but wanted to get it up and running. WOOHOO! I grew up with this in Chicago (it and the Empire guy are the two commercials I really remember), and it was weird even then. I didn't know it was famous. LOOK AT THOSE LOW RATES.
First thing: I just started at King Fish Media as Editorial Content Lead. So far it's great! (Still consulting, though. Because it's fun, and also it helps keep Harley the cat in chemo.) (Yes, that is supposed to guilt you into giving me work. Give me work!)
Second thing: I'm back on the Twitter. Hope I don't get hacked this time. Seamwork posted my Antwerp city guide today. Here's a post on my sewing blog with some more pictures.
Also, here's a pic of Grote Markt at night. Because it's pretty. Right! I'm really terrible about updating this thing, huh? I blame Weebly and its innovative drag-and-drop-elements-and-publish-thirty-different-pages method for creating blog posts.
(Just kidding, Weebly! I love you! Except for this one thing.) Anyway. marketing stuff: 1) I'm watching fake QVC right now. (I'm kind of obsessed with QVC and the other shopping channels in general, because they sell so. Much. Stuff.) 2) They're selling goats' milk soap. 3) Naturally, there are goats on set. Two stoned-looking goats wearing Christmas sweaters. 4) I don't know how I feel about this. Someone on Facebook said, "Call and ask how much for the goat." I'm tempted. I wrote a post for Rue Morgue on Halloween night in Salem. You guys, it was ridiculous this year: We had around 100,000 people—I'm not sure if that's a record, but if not, it was close.
I'm sad that our usual family of cannibals (dragging decaptiated heads behind them) didn't show. Maybe next year. Anyway, thanks, Rue Morgue, for helping me to put this together! (I should probably say "with which I agree," but oh well.)
